Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
BoozeBattle (“we”, “us”) runs boozebattle.fun, a site for hosting private cocktail competitions with friends. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, display name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash; we can’t see them.
- Age and terms confirmation: the date you confirmed you’re of legal drinking age and accepted our Terms.
- What you post in battles: battle titles, themes and descriptions, cocktail names, recipes, descriptions, photos, and the scores or rankings you give.
- Photos: uploaded photos are re-saved on our server, which strips hidden metadata such as camera details and GPS location.
- Security data: the IP address of failed login attempts, kept for 15 minutes to stop password guessing.
- Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a cookie that remembers you confirmed your age. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account and the battles you create or join.
- To send account emails: email verification and password resets. We don’t send marketing email.
- To protect the site from abuse.
We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Other players: members of a battle you join see your display name, your drinks, and the battle results. Battles are private to people with the invite code.
- Service providers: Hostinger hosts the site, database and our email. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
- The law: we may disclose information if required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and battle data until you ask us to delete it. Failed-login records are deleted after 15 minutes. Email verification links expire after 24 hours and password reset links after 1 hour.
Your choices
- You can change your display name, email and password on your profile page.
- To get a copy of your data or have your account deleted, email support@boozebattle.fun from the address on your account.
Age
BoozeBattle is only for adults of legal drinking age. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone underage has an account, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
